This modern fragrance is both sophisticated and airy. It carries, the viperous platinum blonde saleswoman told me, hints of the Mediterranean. Nice. As a matter of fact, it smells amazing. It’s like being at a casino in Monte Carlo, and not because you’re waiting for your tour boat to depart. Despite that warm description, this fragrance is calm and reserved, and would be awesome for the winter, especially since it’s blue– the official color of Winter since 1978.

The color of fragrances are not an accident. It’s not like they formulate this stuff, look at the color, and think– “Hey, it came out blue. Let’s run with it.” There is a whole science behind fragrance. There are weights and measures that analyze the use and intensity of the usual suspects of olfactory manipulation– including everything from honeycomb to musk oil, to rose petals and grass clippings. If they sniffed it off one of god’s fine creatures, it’s good enough to bottle for you to squirt on yourself.
